I drive to work on a Vino 125 in NW Houston, I see more scooters here every day. We just park anywhere a car would park, or split a spot if you have a scooter buddy.

Answer 1 :
Talk to your counselor at school and just maybe he can tell more about jobs in your local neighborhood.. Start mowing yards you could make extra money there. Ge a job delivering the paper with the Houston Chronicle. These are suggestions and I hope and pray that you find what you need, to grow and get an education. Pray about it. Mary
Answer 2 :
I don't know of any places that hire 15 year olds, but you can make yourself some money,, You can buy a cheap push lawn mower and a gas powered weed eater and start your own bizz. You can knock on peoples doors and tell them you are trying to raise money for your grandmothers operation... that way people will feel sorry for you,, and you will make some good tax free money.
Answer 3 :
the corner.

About I'm 17 years old high school graduate looking for work in Houston

I'm 17 years old high school graduate looking for work in Houston?
I graduated high school early (I have my diploma) But I'm not starting college until I have enough money saved up. I need ideas on where to look, I've applied at Starbucks, toys r us, and the grocery stores but have not heard back from any of them. Does anyone know of stores that hire at 17 or anyone with a high school diploma? I live in Houston Texas, if that helps at all... but for now... I'll keep looking!

Answer 1 :
I'd go everywhere! Retail places aren't hiring now. Get a greensheet and see what job listings they have. Get a JobsHouston magazine and start applying. Have you gone to temp agencies? There are plenty of jobs out there- you're just looking in the wrong places. I'd strongly recommend not delaying your education. Start at a junior college- like San Jac. You should qualify for financial aid, which will pay all your tuition.
Answer 2 :
Any restaurant will hire you, you won't get rich at it but it's honest. Any income beats no income. Turnover is high at food places so you'll stand a good chance at being hired right away. It's not glamorous and at times it can really suck, but being fresh out of high school it's where lots of students and aspiring students get their start. Many listings you'll see in the GreenSheet can be deceptive, beware of big print ads promising cash bonuses or unrealistic income promises, these are usually telemarketing boiler room operations which are notorious for NOT paying their employees. Don't let money stop you from getting an education. Apply for loans, grants, scholarships, or work-study programs. Talk to a financial aid counselor at the community college. You really don't want to get caught in the minimum wage trap, so make a plan for your future and stick to it. Even if you don't declare a major right away at least work on your academics. Good luck.
Answer 3 :
what about Whole Foods? the cashiers there make $10/hour which is quite a lot there are 5 in or around Houston pay/hour: http://www.glassdoor.com/Hourly-Pay/Whole-Foods-Hourly-Pay-E422.htm there are also several stores hiring at the houston galleria mall. http://www.simon.com/mall/malljobs.aspx?id=805
Answer 4 :
Thats good you are the right age. there are a lot of kids trying to find a job like you, best thing to do is go out and apply yourself. here is something that will get you started copy paste http://recessionrecover.blogspot.com/ it will help you make a little extra money, also will tell you what to do. so I hope this will help and good luck.
